Satay Sauce

  Ingredients

  Serves To be used in Satay recipes

  • 1 Cup Peanuts or cashew nuts
  • Half cup seasoned oil
  • 2 inches root ginger crushed and chopped
  • 4 spring onions chopped
  • 4 Cloves garlic peeled
  • 2oz Butter
  • 1 teaspoon 5 spice powder
  • Half teaspoon chilli powder - more if you like it hot

  Method

Mix all the ingredients in a food processor and blend to coarse or smooth paste as you prefer. Warm through in a small sauce pan until piping hot and serve.
