Chinese Curry Sauce

  Serves To be used in many recipes

  • 2oz Butter
  • 2 teaspoons five spice powder
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • Half teaspoon chilli powder (or more if you wish)
  • Half teaspoon garlic powder
  • Half teaspoon ginger powder
  • 3 tablespoons plain flour - sifted
  • 25oml boiling water

  Method

Melt the butter on a low heat and stir in the sifted flour, mix well with a fork and cook for 2-3 minutes, add the spices, stir well and add the boiling water. Stir well to remove and lumps (use a hand blender if needed). Pour over your main dish and serve. If you prefer a thicker sauce add less water and vice versa.
