Boiled Rice

  Serves 4

  • 8oz (225g) Long grain Rice
  • Water
  • Teaspoon of salt

  Method

Wash and rinse the rice. Place the rice in a saucepan with 1 inch of water above the rice. Bring to the boil and then add the salt. Stir to prevent sticking. The rice should absorb the water and be cooked in 15-20 minutes but check the packet for guidance. Drain any excess liquid and stand for 15 minutes before serving.
